Meet the Teacher
I was born and raised here in Moulton and after graduation attended Victoria College where I earned an associate of arts degree. I then transferred to Texas A&M University in College Station and received a bachelor of arts degree in English and Journalism in 2002. After a year-long substitute job, I entered an alternative certification program and began teaching in Moulton in 2003. My first assignments were 7th, 8th, and 9th grade English as well as theater and speech. I made the switch to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade English in 2012 but now teach 7th-11th English as well as yearbook. I have been the Student Council sponsor for 16 years and coach several junior high and high school UIL academic competitions, too.
Aside from school, I am a director in the Moulton Chamber of Commerce and a member of the MISD Booster Club, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Sacred Heart ACTS Retreat CORE, and Catholic Daughters of America. I am active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church and enjoying volunteering my time wherever I can.
I am married to Kevin Bartos and have been for 15 years, and we have one son, Jaxon, a 6th grader here in Moulton.
