Meet the Teacher
Howdy! My name is Leigh Ann Darilek. I wasn’t raised in Moulton, but you know the saying, “I got here as soon as I could”. (My husband’s family has deep roots in the Moulton and Shiner area.) This is my third year living in Moulton and I have loved every day of being here. The support of the community and our awesome Katz and Kittens make everyday an awesome day here at Moulton High School.
I am a fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2010. (Yes, 2010. I waited until my own children were older to start teaching.) I was an active parent in their education spending most days helping out at the school and try to be an active educator to my students attending extracurricular events they participate in. I previously taught 2nd and 5th grade Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies in Magnolia ISD. I have also taught 6th grade and 4th grade at Moulton Elementary.
I blessed to have a wonderful family that I adore. I have been married to my best friend, William, for almost 28 years. I have three amazing children - Cody, Courtney, and Corbin, an amazing daughter-in-law, Marissa, and a young lady that has been a part of our family times for the last four years, Skilar. My greatest hobby is spending time with them, whether it’s a scheduled event or just together time. They keep me laughing and keep my heart happy.
I enjoy working with our young ladies and gentlemen. Every day is a new chance to learn and grow as we explore Jr. High Science, HS Business Information Management, and Spanish II. The students at Moulton High School are indeed the ideal example of excellence, pride, and tradition in all that they do.
